Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does It Take To Get Out Of Jail?

The paperwork takes between 10-15 minutes to complete. The release time on the other hand varies from one to 4-5 hours.

Why don’t I get my premium back?

The bail bond company posts a bond for the entire amount of the detainee. The company is accountable for the defendant going to court. Bail premium is kept by the agency for performing the service.

Why can’t I do a cash bond myself?

In some cases, you can post cash the bail yourself (it depends upon the detainee’s charge). In most cases however (when the charge is too big), you may need to utilize a professional bail bond service.

What is collateral?

The collateral is used by the bail bond company to secure the bond posted for the detainee. Usually this is a signature of a good credited family member or a close friend. However on larger bonds, cash or real estate collateral may be required (ask us for details).

When do I get my collateral back?

The collateral is returned when defendant’s court case is completed, and the bond is discharged by the court. A copy of the discharge must be provided to the surety company either by any of the signers of the defendant him/herself.

What happens if a person misses his/her court date? What should I do?

First, contact the bail bond company. Let us know and we’ll immediately call the court and get all necessary details. Procedurally, what happens is very simple.
Note: Remember that as a signer, you are held responsible for the defendant’s appearance in court. Your cooperation is very important.
